Line Managers and Team Leaders
Respond
Providing essential skills to build confidence in dealing with mental health in the workplace
Course: Respond
Respond is a one day course designed for line managers and those in a supervisory or leadership role. This course is very much an active learning session, which includes case studies and group working so managers can practice skills and build confidence in a safe environment. The first half of the course looks at modules from the Thrive and Aware courses. The second part then looks at the practical side of being a manager and supporting people around mental health.
One in six working adults suffer from mental health issues.*
Stigma about mental health is one of the main barriers preventing people receiving proper diagnosis and treatment. This shouldn’t be the case. The Respond course looks at mental health, psychology and well-being to bring a balanced and holistic approach to dealing with mental health in the workplace.
Using the RESPOND mnemonic, we introduce an easy, step-by-step model for supporting those with mental health issues in order to promote a happier and healthier workplace. All participants will receive a helpful manual full of information for development and further learning.
All attendees of our Respond training course are given free access to the Respond Companion. This is an online platform that includes quick links and articles for managers and supervisors to give them on-going support and information for supporting someone on their team with a mental health condition.
