Promoting good mental health in the workplace

Course: Aware

Aware is a half-day training course designed for staff at any level, to equip them with the relevant knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding mental health in the workplace, including common mental health conditions, their signs and symptoms and ways to reduce stigma and increase peer support.

70 million work days are lost every year in the UK due to mental health problems.

Mental health problems are taking their toll on the UK’s economy, with around 70 million work days lost every year. A key problem surrounding this issue is the stigma that is still attached to conditions such as anxiety and depression. Many people still believe that mental illness is merely a sign of weakness: this is far from the truth.

We will work closely with your workforce to help them identify the key factors affecting mental well-being. They will learn to spot the warning signs of a potential problem in a colleague or themselves, find appropriate solutions to deal with stress, and identify new and more effective ways of supporting each other.

The Aware course will equip your staff with the skills and knowledge to be much healthier and happier in the workplace. All participants will receive a manual full of helpful information for development and further learning.
