Wellbeing Champions

Build a stronger, healthier workplace - from the inside out

More than just a course - it’s a culture shift

Our Wellbeing Champions Programme helps you build a network of peer-led advocates who promote health and wellbeing where it matters most – in teams, on sites, and across the business.

This isn’t a one-off session. It’s a practical, people-powered solution designed to embed wellbeing into your culture, using a structured approach that trains, equips, and supports your champions long after the initial training day.

Whether you're just starting out or looking to strengthen an existing network, we’ll help you create a confident, visible champion community – backed by practical tools, resources, and ongoing development.

At a glance

  • Training format: Face-to-face or online
  • Duration: Full-day initial training + quarterly briefings + optional upskill sessions
  • Support: Ongoing resource access, drop-ins, and champion community
  • Customisation: Designed for your sites, shifts, and workforce profiles
  • Audience: Ideal for H&S, HR and wellbeing leads looking to embed wellbeing in a visible, practical way

What is a Wellbeing Champion?

A Wellbeing Champion is a trusted peer – someone colleagues can talk to, who actively promotes wellbeing, encourages healthy habits, and helps others access the support they need. They’re not therapists or managers – they’re relatable people from within your workforce who receive dedicated training and support to:

  • Start safe, supportive conversations
  • Promote both physical and mental wellbeing
  • Signpost to internal and external services
  • Help reduce stigma and normalise healthy work practices
  • Lead proactive wellbeing campaigns and initiatives

Access to the Learning and Support Hub

What’s included in the programme?

This isn’t just a course – it’s a complete support package for creating and sustaining an effective wellbeing champion network.

Core programme includes:

  • Champion training (1 day): Interactive training covering mental and physical wellbeing, champion roles, communication skills, signposting, confidentiality, and healthy workplace practices
  • Champion onboarding toolkit: Role description, commitment expectations, boundaries and escalation guidance, and manager support checklist
  • Ongoing support & briefings: Quarterly live sessions exploring timely topics (e.g. stress, fatigue, suicide awareness, seasonal wellbeing) to refresh knowledge and sustain confidence
  • Digital resource hub: Access to campaign packs, posters, toolkits, conversation guides and printable resources – updated throughout the year
  • Peer network & support: Champions join a community of practice to reduce isolation and share ideas
  • Campaign & activity toolkit: Support for running workplace initiatives, events, inductions, and awareness weeks – encouraging champions to lead proactive, local wellbeing action

Why invest in a Champion Programme?

Because strong peer support leads to stronger teams.

A well-supported champion network can help your organisation:

  • Increase early signposting and reduce escalation of issues
  • Improve staff morale, belonging, and psychological safety
  • Reach parts of the workforce often missed by traditional wellbeing initiatives (especially shift-based, site-based, or remote teams)
  • Embed wellbeing across departments, depots and sites – not just on posters
  • Encourage sustainable cultural change, from the ground up

In sectors like construction, logistics, manufacturing and rail, where safety and performance depend on team cohesion, awareness and resilience, a champion network helps wellbeing become everyone’s business.

What makes our approach different?

  • Sector-aware: Tailored for complex, dispersed and shift-based workforces
  • Practical: Focused on action, not just awareness
  • Structured: Includes onboarding, comms, and culture integration guidance
  • Holistic: Promotes physical and mental wellbeing, not just mental health literacy
  • Sustainable: Champions stay active and engaged through ongoing briefings and resources
  • Human-first: Built on connection, not compliance

Ready to build a culture of care and connection?

We’ll help you design a champion programme that fits your business, your people, and your long-term goals.
