Trauma Prepared Training
Workplace Trauma Awareness Training for High-Risk Sectors
Trauma Prepared
Many organisations encounter traumatic incidents but do not require a full Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) framework. Trauma Prepared is a practical workplace trauma training programme designed to help managers and staff recognise signs of trauma, respond safely, and guide colleagues towards appropriate support.
Suitable for sectors where exposure to traumatic events is more likely — including construction, logistics, rail, utilities, housing, security, and customer-facing roles — this training provides an accessible alternative to TRiM while still offering robust trauma-informed knowledge and early-intervention skills.
Both versions of the course are available online or face-to-face and include access to our Trauma Resources Hub.
Why Trauma Prepared?
Traumatic experiences in the workplace are no longer limited to emergency services. Industrial accidents, violence and aggression, self-harm or suicide encounters, and vicarious trauma can affect anyone in operational or public-facing roles.
Organisations increasingly require trauma-informed training that:
- Builds awareness of trauma and its impact
- Helps managers and individuals recognise trauma symptoms early
- Equips people to hold safe, supportive conversations
- Promotes psychological safety
- Provides clear routes for signposting to internal and external services
- Develops confidence without the need for a formal TRiM structure
Trauma Prepared fills a significant gap in the UK market by offering short, skills-based courses tailored to high-risk sectors and operational environments.
